Despite unfavorable weather conditions, the start of the speedway season shows no signs of slowing down. Last week, the permanent participants of the TAURON SEC 2024 competed on three league fronts.

On Tuesday, the local league in the Czech Republic was inaugurated with four teams entering this year's competition. The team from Pardubice - with Andzejs Lebedevs as the leading figure - secured a win. The Latvian scored 15 points in five starts.

Round 1 of the Czech Team Championship:

I AMK Zlata Prilba Pardubice - 39

14. Andzejs Lebedevs (Latvia) - (3,3,3,3,3,3) 15

The Latvian didn't slow down and, a day later, participated in a Danish league meeting. His Fjelsted team competed against Sønderjylland at their home venue. Ultimately, after a fierce match, the hosts triumphed. The 2017 Individual European Champion added 16 points to the team's score. In the second match, Esbjerg faced Slangerup, with Mikkel Michelsen and others appearing on the track. Due to rainfall, the competition was stopped after the first two races. The current European Champion won one of them.

Team Fjelsted - Sønderjylland Elite Speedway: 43:41

9. Andzejs Lebedevs (Latvia) - (2,3,3,3,2,3) 16

Esbjerg Vikings - Slangerup Speedway:

1. Mikkel Michelsen (Denmark) - (3) 3

On Friday, the second round of the PGE Ekstraliga began with a meeting between Apator Toruń and Fogo Unia Leszno. Unexpectedly, the match started better for the guests, who, despite the absence of the injured Janusz Kołodziej, had a favorable start in the first races. However, this state did not last long, as Toruń quickly gained the advantage in subsequent races. Eventually, Apator triumphed 59:31. The third-highest scorer for the hosts was Patryk Dudek (10+2), while Andzejs Lebedevs added five points to the Leszno team's score.

Apator Torun - Fogo Unia Leszno: 59:31

9. Patryk Dudek (Poland) - (1,1*,3,3,2*) 10+2

2. Andzejs Lebedevs (Latvia) - (2*,2,1*,0,EX,0) 5+2
